About me

’m a Colorado native and absolutely love the outdoors! I was living the “American Dream” when in March of 2001 our family’s lives were forever changed with my husband, Steven’s diagnosis of ALS. After realizing advocacy would play such a vital role in how we fought the disease we got involved with the Muscular Dystrophy Association. We appeared on the National Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon in 2002 and were featured on the cover of Parade Magazine in 2003. We served as MDA’s National ALS Co-Chairpersons and traveled around the country speaking about how to thrive in the face of adversity.

Steven and I are blessed to have celebrated 25 years of marriage in May of 2015 and have an awesome son, Chris who is 17 years old. Chris is our miracle child after four and a half years of infertility procedures. He is going into his senior year of high school and we are very proud that he is an Eagle Scout and Young Marine, plays football and runs track. He will be going into the Marines after graduating from CU Boulder and then serving our great nation with his ultimate goal of being a naval aviator! One of our “Bucket List” dreams was to visit Ireland and Paris. Thanks to God and LifeVantage that dream will come true in June of 2015 as we celebrate our silver anniversary!

Professionally, I started in the financial industry working for what is now Invesco Ltd., but knew it wasn’t for me. Transferring to the social services field was definitely where my passion resided. Approving food stamp applicants, working with the elderly to get their Old Age Pensions started and into nursing homes as well as approving people for Medicaid, living with HIV/AIDS all fed my soul. After Denver County Social Services shut down the department I was working for I transferred to child support enforcement. This was fulfilling, but very draining due to the infertility issues we had endured. Finally, I was trained as a divorce and child custody mediator, but because of Steven’s disability I was not able to start my practice.

n 2007 I went back to school and attained my Professional Certified Coach certification, which has brought me to where I’m at now! An Entrepreneur!

I have dedicated my life to positively impacting people emotionally, physically and financially and am living my “why” through LifeVantage. My biggest “WHY” is to set up “BFF”- Bishop Family Foundation that will donate $100,000 a month to smaller non-profits in the areas of ALS, cancer, autism and teen issues. I know that being a Professional Network Marketer is why God put me on this earth! I want to help others find their passion and live out their WILDEST dreams by building them up! My business is “Living Your Potential, LLC” because I believe we would all be happier if we were living life to our fullest potential!

I am so blessed to be a part of this amazing Tribe! My wish is to connect with all the married tribe woman with children who know there is more for themselves then “someone’s wife and/or mother”. Don’t get me wrong I LOVE being married and being a mother but also know that GOD has something much LARGER in store for me and for YOU!!!! So if you connect with this please let me know because I am here for YOU!!

Some things I LOVE: God, my family, girl friends, goal setting, vision boards, mind movies, helping others, “self” help, positive affirmations, reading the bible every morning, and working out!
